Overview
The POE-152 is an IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet Injector which provides DC 48V over Ethernet cables. The POE-152 IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet Injector inserts DC Voltage into Cat.5 cable, allowing the cable between the Injector (POE-152) and Splitter (POE-152S-5V/12V) to transfer data and power simultaneously. The maximum distance between the Injector (POE-152) and Splitter (POE-152S-5V/12V) is 100 meters. With POE-152 being installed, it combines the Ethernet digital data with power over the twisted pair cables as an IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet Injector. And the IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet splitter shall separate the digital data and the power into two outputs. Unlike existing Power over Ethernet Injector, the POE-152 also provides 1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet connection ability, except the 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet connection ability. With IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet devices installed, the system administrator only has to use a single RJ-45 Ethernet cable to carry both power and data to each device. Besides, to connect through POE-152 and POE-152S-5V/12V, you could also have benefits which includes cost saving, easy for networking planning and higher reliability. Overview

Using the PLANET PoE adapters, you can power most DC network devices such as hubs, Wireless access points, IP cameras and etc., over the same Cat 5/5e cable used to connect the device to the network. When positioning network devices, system designers always have to consider the location of power outlets. In some cases, this will restrict the optimum placement of devices or incur additional cost in installing new outlets. Planet's PoE solution addresses these problems. The PoE product includes two units: an Injector and a Splitter. An Injector inserts current into the unused wires in a standard network cable (pins: 4, 5, 7 and 8) allowing the cable between the Injector and the Splitter to transfer power and network signals simultaneously. The maximum distance between the Injector and Splitter can reach 100m/328ft, as defined by the IEEE 802.3 standard.

The PLANET POE-2400 is a 24-Port IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet injector hub complied with IEEE 802.3, and IEEE 802.3u standards. Equipped with 242 10/100BASE-TX Fast Ethernet ports, the products support full 48VDC power for any remote IEEE802.3af powered device (PD) like Wireless LAN Access Point, IP phone, and LAN Camera. Supporting power supply of 260 watts, POE-2400 provides sufficient power to the 24 remote devices. There are 48 RJ-45 STP ports on the front panel of hub.
